Nice overview of the coming changes to the Facebook Wall. I think they are definitely aiming for more Google+ Circles-like functionality, in terms of making the Friends Lists a better tool for controlling what you see on you Wall, and how your posts are shared.
The real-time Friend feed looks interesting too, but from a user interface standpoint, I don't think the shown placement in this video - basically taking up the top half of the (and rather clunky looking, in my opinion) persistent Chat sidebar at right - is the best way to implement this.
As Facebook evolves, it will have to fight to keep its usability and functionality in balance. It has done an admirable job of this to date, but a couple of these changes will really make it tough to continue.
